Sessions start from €279, and one to two hours runs to roughly €450 depending on duration and the number of edited photos. Park tickets are separate: inside the parks your photographer joins you as a paying guest, so their entry is one more ticket. A session outside the turnstiles, by Lake Disney or the hotel esplanade, needs no park ticket at all.

Central Plaza, where the castle fills the end of Main Street; Main Street itself in the first half-hour after opening, before the street fills up; Lake Disney and the promenade along Disney Village late in the afternoon; and the esplanade under the pink facade of the Disneyland Hotel, which is the cleanest single frame on the property.

Opening hour, without competition. The half-hour after the turnstiles open is the only time Main Street and Central Plaza are walkable, and in summer the light is still low. The other window is the last hour of the afternoon by Lake Disney, outside the parks. Midweek in term time is quieter than any weekend or school holiday.

No. The published park rules prohibit tripods, monopods and telescopic poles over 20 cm when extended, and any equipment used for commercial, journalistic or promotional photography or filming; drones are prohibited; and pictures taken by a visitor may be used only for personal purposes, with commercial use needing written permission from the resort. Every age works — the format just adapts. First and second birthdays are cake-smash territory: short sessions, morning light, a washable location like a beach or a garden lawn, and parents nearby with wipes and a spare outfit. Ages three to six shine in adventure formats, where the shoot is disguised as a game and the photographer is just the funny grown-up with a camera. School-age kids often love being the star of a 'magazine shoot' — give them small missions and they deliver poses you couldn't direct if you tried. From around ten, involve them in planning: kids who chose the location and their outfit cooperate at triple the rate. Whatever the age, schedule around meals and naps, and tell your Photo France photographer about your child's current obsessions — a knight fan photographs differently at Carcassonne than a mermaid expert does at Biarritz.

Then the photographer stops asking for poses — that's the entire trick. Kids-specialist photographers open sessions by not photographing at all: five minutes of showing the camera, letting the child press the shutter, becoming the least threatening adult present. Then the shoot becomes a game with rules the child controls — hide behind the fountain and pop out, race me to that boat, show me your monster face. Shyness reads as delicacy in photos when nobody forces eye contact with the lens; some of the most beautiful kids' portraits are of a child absorbed in shell-collecting on a Biarritz beach or watching the Luxembourg Gardens puppet show, unaware of the camera. Parents help most by being relaxed themselves and letting the photographer set the rhythm. The 'won't pose' kid usually refuses to leave when the session ends.
