Get directionsMain Street runs from the station arch at the entrance to Central Plaza, and it is the most photographable stretch of the resort simply because it is designed as a set: matched Victorian shopfronts, painted iron canopies, gas-style lamps and the castle closing the view at the far end. Shoot along it for the leading line, or across it for the shopfronts alone.
There is exactly one window. In the half-hour after the turnstiles open the street is close to empty; after that it fills and does not empty again until closing. Standing under the station arch at that hour gives you a dark frame around a lit street, and the arcades along both sides are the reason this is also the rain plan — you can work covered, with the light coming in from the side.
Rules, as everywhere inside the parks: handheld only, no tripods, monopods or extension poles over 20 cm, nothing that reads as commercial or promotional kit, and pictures for personal use. Check the official rules before the day.
One practical note: the street is the main artery in and out, so even in the quiet half-hour there is a steady flow of people. Work along the shop fronts rather than in the middle of the road, and be ready to give way — cast members will ask, politely and firmly, if you block the flow.
