The rows colour up in the last days of June, peak through roughly the first ten days of July, and harvesting follows soon after — by the third week of July many fields are already cut. That is a window of about three weeks, and it moves a little every year with the spring weather. Golden hour is the favourite: either an early-morning session while the Seine quays or the old port of Saint-Tropez are still empty, or the last 90 minutes before sunset. Avoid planning it on the same day as a long TGV transfer or a full-day vineyard tour; travel fatigue and a wine lunch are not a styling team.
