The occasion. Couples, families and proposals book by the hour. Weddings and elopements are day work: the one half-day package costs €990 for about 80 photos, and eight full-day packages run from €2,000 to €3,210, typically €2,452 for around 550 photos.

Season and sunrise. A package costs the same in February as in June, at sunrise or at dusk. What changes is availability: spring and early-autumn weekends fill first, and in June the sun is up before six, so the photographer sets off in the dark.

Group size. Up to eight people, the price does not move. From nine people up, most packages — and Quick Booking — cost 50% more.

Leaving the city. Versailles or Giverny add travel time, so agree the plan with the photographer before you book: usually the half-day package, a full day or a custom proposal sent in the chat. The classic Paris backdrops themselves are public streets, bridges and squares, free to use.

Where the shoot happens

• Pont de Bir-Hakeim. The walkway under the metro viaduct is a corridor of metal columns, a few minutes from the tower. Go early, before the cyclists.
